With reference to the correspondence ending with Mr.
Lucas's letter of the 23rd of May No. 15340, I am directed
to forward, for the information of the Secretary of State for
the Colonies, a copy of a further telegram that has been
received from the Government of India, relative to the
proposal that the manufacture of subsidiary coin for Hong
Kong and the Straits Settlements should be undertaken at the
Indian Mints.
